My neighbors have a lovely garden filled with flowers and fruit trees. Alongside an actual pear tree that bears fruit is this lovely Fig tree. Very sturdy..not too large. Well tended. The figs are DELICIOUS! The tree comes from the "old county"; from a cutting of a tree sapling that had been planted by my neighbor's Italian grandfather. His name was Gelini.
